LENTA DAMAGE, LOSS & SECURITY POLICY

Last Updated: 26 February 2025

Lenta is committed to ensuring a secure rental experience for both Renters and Lenders. This policy outlines responsibilities and procedures in cases of damage, loss, or security issues related to rented items.

  1. Responsibilities of Renters

Renters are fully responsible for the care and safe return of rented items.

Renters must inspect the item upon receipt and report any pre-existing damage immediately via the Lenta platform.

If an item is lost, stolen, or damaged during the rental period, the Renter must notify the Lender and Lenta immediately.

Renters agree to cover repair or replacement costs if they are found responsible for damage or loss.

  1. Responsibilities of Lenders

Lenders must ensure their items are in good working condition before renting them out.

Lenders must document the condition of their items with photos before and after rentals.

If a Renter reports an issue, the Lender must cooperate with Lenta in investigating the claim.

Lenders may request a security deposit (if applicable) to cover potential damages.

  1. Reporting Damage or Loss

If an item is damaged, lost, or stolen, the affected party must report the issue within 24 hours of the rental ending.

Reports must include:

A description of the issue.

Photos showing the damage or proof of loss.

Any relevant communication between the Renter and Lender.

Lenta will review the case and facilitate a resolution based on evidence.

  1. Security Deposits

Lenders may require a security deposit before the rental begins.

If damage occurs, the deposit may be used to cover repair or replacement costs.

If no damage is reported, the deposit will be refunded to the Renter after the rental ends.

  1. Insurance & Protection

Lenta does not provide automatic insurance coverage for rented items.

Lenders and Renters are encouraged to have personal insurance for high-value rentals.

Lenta may offer optional insurance in the future to provide additional protection.

  1. Resolution & Claims

If the Renter and Lender cannot resolve the issue, Lenta will mediate and make a final decision.

Lenta reserves the right to charge the Renter’s payment method for outstanding damage or loss fees.

Failure to compensate for damages may result in account suspension or legal action.

  1. Fraud & False Claims

Any attempt to make false damage claims or disputes will result in immediate account suspension.

Lenta reserves the right to remove users who repeatedly file fraudulent claims.
